Six String Samurai

I dot know how I missed this movie, but it's amazing. It seriously feels like someone sucked out all my dreams and comic story ideas, and made this crazy movie. I'll have to make a full review soon. But right now, you can watch the entire film on YouTube. Watch it before someone pulls the plug!

Lucha Comic in works

I've been jumping on this lucha comic-zine finally! It will be very much like an anthology, with pinups, and comics from various artists. But I am also going to write a few articles, as well as ask a couple people to write a few also (Such as a lucha libre film buff, as well as a real luchador). I want this book to be a fat mini comic that informs and entertains.

I'm shooting for a June release. I'm on page four of my twelve page story. After that, I need to make some spot illustrations, and design the cover. After that I'll be requesting art and articles from various people in my circle. Cant wait to get this rolling!

Some new photos

I gathered some recent pics of El Hijo del Santo & Blue Demon Jr. This should satisfy you guys a little:

I'm stuck without a computer at the moment, so I've been updating the blog with BlogPress on my iPad and iPhone! Honestly these apps have given me the freedom to update more frequently while out and about while lucha libre is fresh in my mind, rather than late at night when I'm exhausted from a day of work and evening of art burning the candle at both ends.

TSA are not artists

Trying to fly out to Seattle from Pasco, it's definitely been memorable so far. I haven't been on a plane in probably twelve years or more. After being treated like the criminal mastermind I am, I had to explain every iPad accessory, and all my art supplies to the TSA. That's a tripod to set the iPad on to watch movies. Those are Copic multiliner pens. This is how you open that. It only took twenty minutes of twenty to thirty scans of all my markers before I was freed. I actually had a bit of fun confounding all the TSA staff with my magical art supplies. I think they were hoping for blades or bomb making material. They rubbed some sort of pad all over my equipment. Yeah, no exacto knives, those were purposefully left home, and the scissors are in my checked baggage. After all this close and personal affection, they didn't even give me a hug or kids goodbye.

Unknown Luchador

This is a really great photo I found online of a Luchador I do not recognize. His mask is very menacing though, it's like Blue Demon and Skeletor had a baby.
